Calvary Chapel Lodi has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the body of Christ.

The emphasis of Calvary Chapel Lodi is to make mature disciples of Jesus Christ as His Great Commission commands, and to do so the same way it has been successfully done for almost 2000 years as described in Acts 2:42, "by continuing steadfastly in teaching God's Word, in fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers." Calvary Chapel Lodi believes that when the emphasis of the church becomes what God wants it to be, then "the Lord will add to the church daily such as should be saved" as Acts 2:47 declares.

Today, the Calvary Chapel movement has grown to hundreds of churches worldwide. This international outreach ranges from church planting in all areas of the globe (even in former Communist countries) to training indigenous pastors in their own country. While each local church is completely autonomous in its own right, each one is bound together by a deep love of the Lord, His Word, and a desire to see His gospel "...preached unto all nations..." Matthew 24:14b

The Bible
We believe that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments were divinely inspired of God and are our sole basis for faith. We maintain that the scriptures are inerrant and infallible in their original manuscripts. They are the complete, full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice for the Christian Church. Therefore, we teach through the Bible one book at a time, verse by verse, chapter by chapter.

• We believe: Worship of God should be Spiritual. Therefore, we remain flexible and yielded to the Holy Spirit to direct our worship
• We believe: Worship of God should be Inspirational. Therefore, we give a great place to music in our worship.
• We believe: Worship of God should be Intelligent. Therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon teaching of the Word of God that He might instruct us how He should be worshiped.
• We believe: Worship of God is Fruitful. Therefore, we look for His Love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshipping Him.
